Network Marketing Made Simple
57How to deal with Rejection
Network marketing can be one of the most challenging things to do. I can tell you from experience that there are many ways to go about it. Many ways work for some, and not for many. Many of us were not born with ability to be able to comfortably approach strangers or even people we know and talk to them about our business. For many the thought is not a welcomed one.
I remember a few years ago when I first got into network marketing, my wife would say did you speak to so and so. And my reply would be no. And than she would say why not? knowing the answer wholeheartedly, I would make up some excuse. But the real answer was fear - fear of rejection, fear of being laughed at, fear of everything and anything. If your going to be successful in network marketing you are going to have to get over your fears and realize that alot more people are going to tell you no than yes. Just because your excited about your opportunity, doesn't necessarily mean that everyone you talk to will be. If you go out there understanding this fact, you will have a much better chance of success.
If you really don't like rejection and still want to do network marketing you can invest your own money in qualified leads or advertising, and only talk to people who have an interest in your opportunity. This will save you hours of prospecting on your own. However, many who enter this business don't have the finances necessary to go this route. If you recruit a team member who wants to do network marketing and doesn't have the necessary funds to market themselves, you will have to know some of the other ways to teach them how to do it for free. Or get them in touch with someone on your team who has been successful recruiting people without a marketing budget.
Believe it or not, most people start out in network marketing with a limited budget. If they had a big budget they would probably be buying a franchise, or doing a more traditional type of business. When you consider the costs of buying a traditional business, or a franchise, a few hundred bucks a month to have your own home based business doesn't seem like alot of money.
