Why 97% Fail In Network Marketing?

I think I may have wrote about this subject previously, but not sure? I had a few breakthroughs today as I was digging deep within to figure out how I could get my people to consistently generate 2 - 5 new distributors into their main business every month. I take it personally when I train someone and they cannot duplicate, or sponsor. To be honest, I really only think that 1 in 20 people that I recruit are born network marketers. I spent an hour on the phone today with a lady who definitely has it, and she joined my biz - lucky me. But after the phone call it hit me like a ton of bricks. Sales is not fun, for someone who cannot sell. Sales is not fun, for someone who doesn't want to sell. Most companies, leaders, and network marketing professionals only teach people how to sell and lead with the products. But where does that leave the rest of us non-salespeople?? How can a non-salesperson do network marketing. I guess we need to ask Randy Gage? Randy claims he cannot sell. I don't know how anybody could get to Randy's level without being a SUPER SALESMAN.

I know your probably saying where is this guy coming from? But lets just flip it for a moment and say, "You really want your own MLM business?". Robert Kiyosaki says, "network marketing makes you a better salesperson". Tim Sales say's "Well his name says it". My personal email is john@sellingwithintegrity.net. Zig Ziglar is a born salesperson and advocates network marketing. So where does that leave the non-salesperson or introvert? It leaves them pounding the pavement, scratching their heads. Either they develop the skills or they quit. Most unfortunately quit.

I spent 8 months with my first company doing everything I was told and not sponsoring a single business builder. I personally am not a natural born salesperson, and I would say I am more introverted than extroverted - for sure. I went online a year ago and have now sponsored dozens, mostly effortlessly through MySpace, Facebook, and now Twitter. How can that be??? Well if your not a natural born salesman, just simply don't do what your up-line tells you to do, otherwise you may just go broke.  I recommend picking just a few social media websites and master them. I then recommend that while you are building your following that you EDUCATE, EDUCATE, and EDUCATE. Become like a sponge to webinars, training, etc... Over time you will have a wealth of knowledge to share with others through blogging & article writing. Once people see you and trust you, they will automatically want to join your business, or buy whatever it is you are selling.  See I said it.  When you are exchanging a product for $$$ you are in fact selling, but in a non-intrusive way.  Hope this helps you non-salespeople types that want to become MLM Superstars.

Hey John

Nice one! I really enjoyed reading that. I think you help clear up a lot of confusion for so many who are struggling in the industry.

Personally I think the only 'sales' bit of the business is helping someone to get started ie; you may need to say 'Are you ready to get started?' and get their credit card details. Apart from that it is a training business. (And more training...!)Thanks

John,

You are correct in that your upline may not be what you want to become, especially if the person who sponsored you was not making money in his venture at the time and had no "book of business" to tap into.

The best advice I can give you is to expose and sort out those who will engage in your business like you have and have not quit only to bounce back into that MLM wasteland into another MLM business.
